Alex Segrove leads delivery for one of the Government Digital Service's most high profile programmes. She has been working in digital for nearly 20 years, with experience across the private and public sector focusing on user-centred service design.

Alex completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Auckland University. Having completed her degree, she then took employment with the same university to help them implementan online application and enrollment process, resulting in an an enterprise system solution. This was the start of Alex’s work in user-centred service design, which has remained a focus ever since.

Alex first started delivering projects and programmes using Agile methodologies while working for boutique digital agencies in London over a decade ago. Clients included well known brands clients such as Electrolux, HSBC, KPMG and Oxford University Press.  

Agile digital delivery often requires significant cultural change within an organisation for it to be successful. Since joining GDS nearly 4 years ago Alex has been working to mature and scale the delivery capability of a famously agile organisation, with the wider (and  historically less agile government environment.
