We all know that life is not in black and white; nor is project management. An experienced project manager knows when and how to adapt project management tools and techniques so that they can help the most, are relevant, and add value to their projects and organisations. This presentation advocates using agile practices in waterfall projects, and gives examples from real-life situations where specific practices (scrum, Kanban) were successfully used.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
(1) describe how today's business conditions require the best mixture of tools and techniques, no matter if they are predictive or agile;
(2) analyse projects and their environments and decide when and how agile practices can be applied.
